BioMy partner & I have just begun our first IVF cycle which has been funded by the NHS in the UK. I've had endometriosis since the late nineties (I'm 33 now) and have had several operations to remove it but the bastard keeps coming back.
Whilst removing the endo, I've also had my right ovary & fallopian tube removed because of the extensive damage that the endo caused. In March 2007 I had another operation to remove more endo and they also checked my left fallopian tube and found it to be blocked. I was put on the NHS waiting list for IVF funding and have finally begun treatment in May 2008.
May 26th - Down regulation on the Long Protocol of IVF.
June 12th - FSH injections.
June 24th - Egg Retrieval/Collection.
June 26th - Embryo Transfer, 2 x Grade 2/3 embryos.
July 12th - Home pregnancy test - positive!
July 31st - 7 weeks & 2 days scan, showing twins!
September 4th - NT Scan (Nuchal Translucency Scan)
